Website privacy notice

Last updated: [DATE TO BE SET AT LAUNCH]

This notice is about the website

This page explains how texomanephrology.com handles information. It is different from our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is the legal notice about your medical records under HIPAA. You will receive that notice at your first visit, and you may request a copy any time by calling (903) 841-4454.

What we collect

You can read every page of this website without giving us any personal information. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not sell information about visitors.

If you choose to call, email, or (once available) send an appointment request, we receive whatever you choose to share with us — for example your name and phone number. Our web host also keeps standard technical records, such as the internet address your visit came from and which pages loaded, to keep the site running and secure.

Please don’t send medical details online

Email and website forms are not secure ways to send health information. Please do not include symptoms, test results, diagnoses, or medication lists in an email or online message. Call the office instead, and we will collect what we need safely.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent visitor information.
  • We do not run advertising trackers or social media pixels on pages about health conditions.
  • We do not use information from this website to target advertising to you.

Links to other websites

Some pages link to outside organizations, such as the National Kidney Foundation. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we do not control them.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this notice

If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and change the date above.

Accessibility statement

Our commitment

We want every patient to be able to use this website — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or captions. We build and test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we have done

  • Text and background colors are chosen to stay readable, with larger type throughout.
  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and the focused item is always visible.
  • Pages use proper headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Images carry text descriptions, and buttons and links say where they go.
  • The site works on phones, tablets, and computers, and text can be enlarged.
